Managed Services Sales Specialist Job Description
Reports to: Support Manager
Summary of Position: The Managed Services Sales Specialist is responsible for selling and maintaining a portfolio of Support Agreement Clients. The Managed Services Sales Specialist will achieve revenue goals by identifying new and existing clients in assigned target market(s), developing & maintaining strong, trusting relationships with clients, and developing detailed proposals that respond to client’s needs for on-going A/V Support.
Essential Functions:
Maintain a strong sales pipeline
Build, strengthen, and manage current client accounts and develop new client-for-life relationships
Hold bi-annual strategic planning meetings with high value clients
Provide exemplary customer service during any client interactions, instilling confidence both in our capabilities and our trustworthiness to deliver on a commitment of excellence
Pursue new business in assigned target markets including identify and develop potential new clients within and around current clients
Exhibit a consultative sales approach to determine the customer’s A/V needs
Partner with internal teams to provide the best client experience that will “Wow” the client
Support the resolution of client issues
Maintain compliance with KONTEK policies, systems, and CRM tool
Actively seek and demonstrate continuous growth in knowledge of current and new technologies relevant to KONTEK’s product and service offerings, strategic vision, and impact to clients
Provide strategic input to Director, Operations regarding company and team strategy (e.g. pursuit of new markets, process improvement, client satisfaction, etc.)

Ability to sit 90% of the day
Work with computer and mouse
Ability to visit clients
Required Qualifications:
Self-motivated team player who takes initiative to solve problems and create opportunities
Demonstrated success delivering on-target, quantifiable results with customer satisfaction
Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
5 years technical sales experience
Cold calling, prospecting and referral-based business development experience
Experience with strategic planning and implementation
Strong Presentation Skills
Background in A/V
